How to Measure Your Head
- Grab a soft measuring tape or a piece of string (like twine or a shoelace) and a ruler or measuring tool
- Wrap a soft tape or string around your head to measure about 1/4 to 1/2 inch above your ear and about 3/4 to an 1" inch above your brow line (see image)
- Mark the tape or your string, where it intersects, with your finger.
- Record your measurement in inches or centimeters (centimeters is often more accurate)
- If you're using a string, run it along side the ruler as many times as necessary to get a complete measurement
- MEASURE AGAIN!
- Always measure more than once until you get the same number twice
- Find your size in the chart for the perfect fit

I don't know very much about hats.
This American Hat "Bushman" presents an immediate impression of high quality.
The air that comes out of the box makes you feel like you're in some small shop belonging to a leather craftsman.
In my hands it feels as though it's something extraordinary. I can't explain why, because I don't know much about hats.
Sometimes, hats are in hands. Mostly, a hat belongs on a head.
When it's worn appropriately, the Bushman is very effective
It's a hat provides all the protection and comfort that's expected from a premium artifact.
I've lived with a head my entire life, so that even if I'm not an expert, I do know something about heads.
The most surprising aspect of wearing this hat is it's dramatic effect on the mood and projected persona of the head that it's on. This might not be safe for children to experience, but for an adult, the erasure of maturity, and the instigation of childish imagining that occurs can be overwhelming.
On a small sampling of experimental heads the effect was universally experienced. In each case the hat manifested that power in a unique manner, but the results were profound.
I recommend this hat for heads that will wear it responsibly.

My tenth purchase. Excellent leather, constructed to last. The copper color is rather robust, looks great in the Sunshine. The leather is heavy enough for winter, but I have worn the hat on a couple hot days and no sweating. I'd say an all year hat. I wear size medium and it sits just where I want it. I have to keep the sun from my eyes for medical reasons, this hats brim does the job.
Excellent hat in quality, craftsmanship, durability, at a good price.
