- Grab a soft measuring tape or a piece of string (like twine or a shoelace) and a ruler or measuring tool
- Wrap a soft tape or string around your head to measure about 1/4 to 1/2 inch above your ear and about 3/4 to an 1" inch above your brow line (see image)
- Mark the tape or your string, where it intersects, with your finger.
- Record your measurement in inches or centimeters (centimeters is often more accurate)
- If you're using a string, run it along side the ruler as many times as necessary to get a complete measurement
- MEASURE AGAIN!
- Always measure more than once until you get the same number twice
- Find your size in the chart for the perfect fit

This hat fits a bit larger. It is different from most hats my husband wears but he likes it. With the band inserts that came with the hat he did get it adjusted to fit. He actually wears a medium large that you use to carry.

As always, couldn’t wait to receive my hats. I’ve now got 13 Top Hats since December and I’m on a roll. My goal is 30 hats, one for each day of the month. I was hoping for a frequent flyer type deal. Buy 10 get one free but I see that’s not happening so I’ll have to pinch and hustle to reach my goal. I got my mind set on a large Kraken Steampunk Top Hat but I may have to wait until I see a buy one get one free or a 50 percent off type deal so I can sport it. Maybe if I get enough responses in the kitty and get pulled out for some $100 gift cards I’ll be happening. I guess I’ll just have to keep fingers and eyes crossed for the time being.
