I originally purchased this from their Amazon store. I absolutely love this top hat. I have had a couple of other ones, but this is my far the best it’s in a league of its own. It’s staff the fit is actually right on my head is a 22 inch and I ordered a medium and it fit perfect. The price is more than fair. The shipping is fast and I expect this hat will last a very long time it definitely stylish. I get asked about it all the time. I’m glad I finally got one.

I first saw your hats in Georgetown, DC at Georgetown Tobacco, one of your dealers. I had to have a plain leather top hat so I found you website, followed directions for sizing and ordered a size medium. I wear the hat everyday as long as is not too hot in San Diego . Well...... these hats are complete perfection!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE ALL 4 OF MY TOP HATS!!!❤️ I have the El Dorado in brown with the 5 skull and chain hat band... the El Dorado in black with the 3 skull hat band... the Silver Skulls which came with the 2 skull hat band... and of course... too complete my collection (so far... lol), my Stove Piper big boy with the single skull and crossbones in the grey triangle hat band!!

Before you order
The questions we actually get.
Wrap a soft tape around your head about ¼–½″ above the ear and ¾–1″ above the brow, then measure again until you get the same number twice. Match that to the chart. If you land between two sizes, take the larger one — every El Dorado ships with Velcro sweat liners that bring it down about a half size. A hat can be shimmed in; it can't be let out.
Slightly generous. Across 468 reviews, fit scores 3.8 out of 5 on a small-to-big scale, meaning more people find it roomy than tight. Order your measured size and keep the spare liners handy.
Less than you'd think. The crown sits high off your scalp instead of sitting down on it, so air moves underneath. Customers in Arizona and Southern California wear theirs through summer.
Around town, yes — a lot of our El Dorados live on motorcycles. Once you're at highway speed the brim catches air, so riders either run a stampede string or stow it for the run and put it back on at the stop.
The hat underneath is identical — same leather, same brim, same fit. Unbanded is $159 and lets the leather carry it. Buffalo Nickel adds coin conchos at $179. 5 Skull, SR2, Red Eye and Eye are the statement bands at $199. All of them come off, so you're not locked in.
That's the point of it. There's wire running the full brim — flatten it, curl the sides, snap the front down. It holds where you put it and takes a new shape whenever you want one.
