How to Measure Your Head
- Grab a soft measuring tape or a piece of string (like twine or a shoelace) and a ruler or measuring tool
- Wrap a soft tape or string around your head to measure about 1/4 to 1/2 inch above your ear and about 3/4 to an 1" inch above your brow line (see image)
- Mark the tape or your string, where it intersects, with your finger.
- Record your measurement in inches or centimeters (centimeters is often more accurate)
- If you're using a string, run it along side the ruler as many times as necessary to get a complete measurement
- MEASURE AGAIN!
- Always measure more than once until you get the same number twice
- Find your size in the chart for the perfect fit

What can I say about AHM that hasn't been said already.
Anticipation really stirs in you, when the tracking dots get closer to your door step, then "klump" the sound of a well packed AHM hat box hits the slats of my newly built porch.
My Marlow hat, has finally come home! Although this is my 2nd attempt at this, the exchange process for a smaller size, went smoothly & my replacement fits perfectly. Both me & my Red haired gal love the new look. 🤠👍

Let me begin by saying that too long have regular hats and caps dominated the covering of our heads. This wonderful modern adaption of a Top Hat brings a certain sense of confidence in the wearer to stand a little taller and step with style. It certainly draws the attention of all as you make your entrance. It's not a posh piece either, its excellent leather craftsmanship brings everything together. You can add any band to give it a personal touch or keep it clean without any additions. The sizing is a bit different because the inside is a bit oval and not round. My first Marlow was a Large and I needed two sizers to get it just right. My second Top Hat was a Bromley and I went with a size Medium. Both fit great and the Large has more cushion for longer wear, while the Medium Will Not come off due to high winds. Very secure! I recommend them if you want something to elevate your noggin to a more contemporary and adult look. You won't regret it, cheers!

I’ve always had trouble finding hats that I like and fit my extra XL head. I am so glad I found American Hat Makers! Now I can find what I like, and in the size I need. This Marlow in the size XL fits perfectly. Immediately after receiving this hat, I ordered five more - El Dorado SR2 Top Hat, Midnight Rider Outback, Soho Fedora, Bromley Top Hat, and Soaker Outback. All are wonderful. I couldn’t be happier.
One suggestion would be that when you have two hats that look almost identical online like the Marlow and the Bromley, a little description describing the differences would be very helpful, because they fit very differently. The Marlow comes down farther in the back and hugs the head more securely. I prefer the Marlow.
