How to Measure Your Head
- Grab a soft measuring tape or a piece of string (like twine or a shoelace) and a ruler or measuring tool
- Wrap a soft tape or string around your head to measure about 1/4 to 1/2 inch above your ear and about 3/4 to an 1" inch above your brow line (see image)
- Mark the tape or your string, where it intersects, with your finger.
- Record your measurement in inches or centimeters (centimeters is often more accurate)
- If you're using a string, run it along side the ruler as many times as necessary to get a complete measurement
- MEASURE AGAIN!
- Always measure more than once until you get the same number twice
- Find your size in the chart for the perfect fit

I purchased this hat under a listing in the men's section online, evidently they list it as woman's hat also. This a fine hat well ventilation for those very hot days and casual enough to wear with shorts and a polo shirt. I've been complimented about the hat several times.

Received my seagrass straw sun hat in a beautiful box. The care taken to deliver this hat demonstrates the quality that American Hat Makers puts into their products. This hat is so well made and fits amazing even though they include an insert to help with the fit if a little too big but the info on measuring makes it easy to order the correct size. Love the look and feel of the crafted hat. Cannot wait to take this hat on my trip to Greece.

I am totally overwhelmed! Love the hat & the excellent service I received. Had a tiny glitch since my size was just on the cusp of small & medium. Began by ordering the small, which I realized immediately upon receipt, was incorrect. I called & got great advice on how to return my hat. This happened on a Monday & I received my correct size within days. I cannot recall customer service of this caliber EVER.
