Victoria Secret Hats: See Hats from the Runway

Last updated by Yauni Smith on

The world of modeling is bliss. Fashion and womens hat styles come and go. But for a fashion era like the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show to say goodbye after 23 editions is heartbreaking, if nonetheless expected. Nothing lasts forever in this world of glitz and glamour, except for the iconic images.

Throughout the years, Victoria’s Secret models have also brought out a wide array of women’s hats. Hold on to your seats as we take a look at some of the top-tier topper games of the angels of the designer house.

The classic women’s hats

The alluring world of hats is just like any other fashion accessory, where classics never seem to go out of style. Aren’t we all just fans of a good old classic look? Guess what? Victoria’s Secret models are, too!

Considered a classic for its cultural representation, the military cap is also one of the most distinguishable headpieces. This is why it’s fitting that no other than Adriana Lima, one of the most famous Victoria’s Secret angels, dons this on the runway. She looks amazingly perfect with the beaded cap and lingerie, and those wings are fire too, yeah?

This will not be a complete classic list without an appearance from the ever-reliable cowgirl hat. The widely turned-up brims of this headpiece showcase the beauty of Alessandra Ambrosio, seen to be having a good time away from the runway. Paired with a simple white tank top, the Cowboy Hat elevates her look to one of authority and honor.

Paying another homage to the militaria is this flamboyant vinyl Garrison cap worn by Gisele Bündchen. The sailor vibe that is exuded by the white and nautical gradients is looking strong on this one. The better half of NFL superstar Tom Brady nailed this outfit on the runway despite the tricky color schemes because she’s just that gorgeous. Honestly, we can’t think of any other reason.

The modern toppers

And so from the classics, we hop over to the modern hats worn by Victoria’s Secret models. For more than two decades, the fashion show was able to showcase various themes as it ushered in a bolder era in fashion choices. Here are some of the modern head gears worn during the show.

This leprechaun-inspired look by Hilary Rhoda is a modeling sight to behold, and we are lucky (pun intended) to see it. Kidding aside, the green arm sleeves with the perfectly curvy black top is awesome. Pair those with a green felt Derby Bowler hat with a red band and edge trim, and we are getting fun holiday vibe. We like it!

Top hats for women are high and flat-brimmed toppers often worn by performers and add that showman feel to it every time it is worn. This overall look by Victoria’s Secret angel Jourdan Dunn is highlighted by the knee-high black boots, a wand, and her cute mini Top Hat. It's pure magic. Hear us out, is anyone else getting Britney hat vibes from this?

Believe it or not, the term fascinator was derived from the Latin word fascinare, which simply means “someone is enthralling.” True enough, to see this miniature cowboy hat worn by anyone is extremely interesting and never boring. Fascinators are often colorful and angel Magdalena Frackowiak is not short of exuberating jovial energy with her fascinator and multi-colored dress combo.

The cheerful and fun head gears

We admire that the creatives and show runners of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show are never afraid to mix it all up. After the classics and the modern takes on hats, there is also a fun side to the headpieces worn at the show. Let’s take a look at some of our favorite fashionable toppers modeled on the runway.

The sun hats for women worn by Barbara Fialho is perfect for a tropical getaway because of its uber-wide brim. The soft texture of the headpiece is perfect for a day out under the sun. Why? Well, because it will not add to the already hot and icky feeling outdoors. With her strutting on the runway in a cyan one-piece, somebody call Nelly because it’s getting Hot in Here.

We just saw a Beach Hat under the summer collection, so how about we bring you women’s rain hats for the rainy season? Seriously, you can’t make this stuff up, and that’s why the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is such a stand-up modeling affair. They’re bold, they’re crazy, we love it! And so we’re digging this raincoat feel of the Rain Hat. With just the perfect amount of crease and pinch, it's more than enough to get you through a drizzle.

Last, and certainly not the least, because it’s our favorite from this list – is the Eiffel Tower Hat. Wait, what? Yes, you read that right – an Eiffel Tower Hat. Barbara Fialho puts on the iconic French landmark and pairs it with her equally stunning black and white feathery lingerie. The crown of this custom hat takes up the right amount of space to still showcase the remarkable beauty of the Brazilian bombshell.

According to Business Insider, despite the show calling it quits in 2019, there is still some hope that the trailblazer modeling production will return.

Throughout the years, the highlights of the runway have always been the larger-than-life models, attractive outfits, and lingerie collections.

For us, we will not forget the classic, modern, and fun head gears that were brought to life during those shows as well.
