How to Measure Your Head
- Grab a soft measuring tape or a piece of string (like twine or a shoelace) and a ruler or measuring tool
- Wrap a soft tape or string around your head to measure about 1/4 to 1/2 inch above your ear and about 3/4 to an 1" inch above your brow line (see image)
- Mark the tape or your string, where it intersects, with your finger.
- Record your measurement in inches or centimeters (centimeters is often more accurate)
- If you're using a string, run it along side the ruler as many times as necessary to get a complete measurement
- MEASURE AGAIN!
- Always measure more than once until you get the same number twice
- Find your size in the chart for the perfect fit

I went to my daughters’s house in San Diego for Xmas from Seattle. I received multiple compliments on both legs of the trip. It was my first time wearing it in some weather here.
Fits perfect, held up great, and looks really good no matter what clothes you’re wearing, for me it was tshirt and hiking pants. I this is my 5th hat I’ve bought from AMH and it won’t be the last. Granddaughter loves the taste too.

This hat fits well on my oblong head, with the quick and easy addition of one of the included, slender fit pads. Its styling is traditional, and the quality is evident in a sturdy feel. My one caviat is that the color as seen on my Apple desktop screen is a bit lighter than tha actual color. So, as with many websites, depending on how your internet device interprets color, the hat may not be the same shade as what you see on your screen.

This model of hat should be shown more. I had a problem with the fit of my first one.. it was just a shade too tight. I persevered but use. I dont want to use hat stretchers I believe they compromise the hat. I spoke with the company and returned the hat. It arrived in a matter of days. 100% customer service. If you need a hat,,, then buy one from them !

For years I wanted to find a nice “Indiana Jones “ look in a hat. Last fall I found at American Hat! I convinced my wife to give it to me for Christmas.
