How to Measure Your Head
- Grab a soft measuring tape or a piece of string (like twine or a shoelace) and a ruler or measuring tool
- Wrap a soft tape or string around your head to measure about 1/4 to 1/2 inch above your ear and about 3/4 to an 1" inch above your brow line (see image)
- Mark the tape or your string, where it intersects, with your finger.
- Record your measurement in inches or centimeters (centimeters is often more accurate)
- If you're using a string, run it along side the ruler as many times as necessary to get a complete measurement
- MEASURE AGAIN!
- Always measure more than once until you get the same number twice
- Find your size in the chart for the perfect fit

I certainly was surprised with this hat. It looks good on the website but in person this hat smokes. It is substantial with great leather that’s soft , smooth, and thick. It fits perfectly on my big head (XL). I wear it backwards like a beret ‘cause I like the feel of it that way. It might be my new fave. I have a few hats from AHM so it’s hard to pick a fave. But this and my Panama hats are neck ‘n’ neck.

This cap has quality construction and material. It needs more height between the band and top of hat. Top of hat sits directly on top of head when it should have a little room to spare. Cowboy hats don't touch the top of the head, why should any cap? The picture shows like there is a little room but it's not. There also isn't a choice of other newsboy styles of caps. I like the leather quality and construction but I have to get used to the hat sitting squarely on my head.
