How to Measure Your Head
- Grab a soft measuring tape or a piece of string (like twine or a shoelace) and a ruler or measuring tool
- Wrap a soft tape or string around your head to measure about 1/4 to 1/2 inch above your ear and about 3/4 to an 1" inch above your brow line (see image)
- Mark the tape or your string, where it intersects, with your finger.
- Record your measurement in inches or centimeters (centimeters is often more accurate)
- If you're using a string, run it along side the ruler as many times as necessary to get a complete measurement
- MEASURE AGAIN!
- Always measure more than once until you get the same number twice
- Find your size in the chart for the perfect fit

Love this hat. The American Hat Makers Bozeman Straw Cowboy Hat is exactly what I was hoping for, especially for warmer weather. It’s lightweight, breathable, and comfortable enough to wear all day. So I typically buy in pairs and this is no exception with the Bozeman in fact I bought my wife a Bozeman Black because I love these hats. In addition I bought a white as well as the black. I am sold on this company. Their customer service reps have been a true blessing, they helped due to I have a fairly large head. So I needed a large 4.5 or larger crown and 7.5 or larger hat size both the Bozeman and the Cattleman are wonderful.
