How to Measure Your Head
- Grab a soft measuring tape or a piece of string (like twine or a shoelace) and a ruler or measuring tool
- Wrap a soft tape or string around your head to measure about 1/4 to 1/2 inch above your ear and about 3/4 to an 1" inch above your brow line (see image)
- Mark the tape or your string, where it intersects, with your finger.
- Record your measurement in inches or centimeters (centimeters is often more accurate)
- If you're using a string, run it along side the ruler as many times as necessary to get a complete measurement
- MEASURE AGAIN!
- Always measure more than once until you get the same number twice
- Find your size in the chart for the perfect fit

My brother-in-law purchased this hat style a few weeks ago. I liked the looks of it. I took a picture of it and sought out American hat makers. After finding the American hat makers online, I made the purchase and it arrived a few days later. BUT...I ordered the wrong size. I was helped quickly and very efficently and a few days later I received my hat. I am so happy with the way it is made and fits. It lets in enough air to keep your head ventilated while also protecting you from the sun. This hat is a head turner for sure..very stylish. But it is also "old hat comfortable."

Great hat, fast replacement as the first was too small even though we followed the sizing instructions, the extra sizing/sweat bands help make it a perfect fit when the hat may be a little too large. Makes it the best fitted hat I ever had!! Something is wrong with the hat stand though. Two exact pieces do not fit or interlock to make a stand. Must be some mistake.

I suggest strongly to measure your head like they say BUT GET the next biggest size . They have sweat bands and sizers to make a 1/4 to one size bigger with the washable sweat bands . I had to return mine for that reason .
