How to Measure Your Head
- Grab a soft measuring tape or a piece of string (like twine or a shoelace) and a ruler or measuring tool
- Wrap a soft tape or string around your head to measure about 1/4 to 1/2 inch above your ear and about 3/4 to an 1" inch above your brow line (see image)
- Mark the tape or your string, where it intersects, with your finger.
- Record your measurement in inches or centimeters (centimeters is often more accurate)
- If you're using a string, run it along side the ruler as many times as necessary to get a complete measurement
- MEASURE AGAIN!
- Always measure more than once until you get the same number twice
- Find your size in the chart for the perfect fit

I really like them both the breeze is a tad tight, but hoping it will loosen up the young Man that was selling me the hats advised me to get a medium I knew even with the spaces it would be too large i’m glad I got the small with that being said the young man that was selling me. The hats was very unengaging in the sale seem like I was bothering him did not want to take my order over the phone kept pushing me to order through the Internet, I told him I did not want to put my credit card number on the Internet when I told him I just was not going to buy the hats. He told me he would take my order as a customer I was very unimpressed with him, but do love the hats.

I like the wide brim Breeze hat. It is my first Anerican Hat and an upgrade from the other hats I own. I use it primarily when I golf, walk our dog and other outside activities. The hat allows a breeze to cool my head on hot days. The brim of the hat is somewhat flexible and will handle wind without blowing off. I also use the chin strap on windy days. I purchased the hat because of the wide brim. The brim helps keep the direct sun from hitting my face, ears and neck as recommended by my dermatologist. I was surprised there is only a sweat absorbing pad at the front of the hat.

I really like the design. The material used for the brim (from the base to the outer edges seems a bit light weight. The material is not smooth but buckles in areas. See attached photos. This concerns me for the future resilience of the hat. Can you advise me please?

My first hat was the leather crusher and I love it but it did get a bit hot when working on sunny days in Colorado. The Breeze, with the perforated design, was the answer to this issue. I think it is a great hat.

I've worn the suede version for years and loved them. Since it's no longer available in gray, I opted for the same hat but in a finished distressed leather brim. The had is almost identical to the suede ones I've worn but the brim leather is thinner than the suede version. It's a great looking hat but I really miss the suede one with the thicker and sturdier brim. AHM is a great company and will still be my hat maker of choice. This is my 4th hat in about 20-years and I love the overall quality of their hats.
