How to Measure Your Head
- Grab a soft measuring tape or a piece of string (like twine or a shoelace) and a ruler or measuring tool
- Wrap a soft tape or string around your head to measure about 1/4 to 1/2 inch above your ear and about 3/4 to an 1" inch above your brow line (see image)
- Mark the tape or your string, where it intersects, with your finger.
- Record your measurement in inches or centimeters (centimeters is often more accurate)
- If you're using a string, run it along side the ruler as many times as necessary to get a complete measurement
- MEASURE AGAIN!
- Always measure more than once until you get the same number twice
- Find your size in the chart for the perfect fit

We love these hats! My husband and I both purchases the Breeze and we think they are great! We needed something with a wider brim than our ball caps after we both had a bout of facial skin cancer. I have bought three of these amazing hats in different colors and they are hands down, the best hats I've ever owned or tried - and trust me, I've tried a lot of hats at various stores and fairs!
I wear one of them at least twice each day and have done so for the past year, yet they still look like new. They keep me comfy via the open mesh in the summer and the wide brim blocks the sun from damaging the skin on my face. They are the most comfortable, stylish and functional hats for most kinds of weather out there. You can wash the adjustable sweat bands whenever they get a little gross, air dry, and you're good to go.
And to boot, the customer service has been stellar: One of the hats that I bought from a third party vendor was a little misshapen and when the vendor wasn't able to fix it, I reached out to the company, and they sent me a replacement. That's customer service that will keep me coming back for life. Love this company and these hats - thank you so much!

I ordered this on a whim after an IG ad for myself for my birthday. The ordering process was very easy and it said all hats mailed within 24hrs, which they did.
I normally struggle to find hats to fit my head as most are either medium or large. I ordered this in a small and it fit! Yay! Best part is that it arrived on my birthday. The hat was well packaged. I am very happy with my Breeze Latte/ but WISH it was crushable. I came to American Hat Makers for a Crush-able similar to the one I bought my mother 30 years ago. When she passed I inherited the hat, wearing it almost every day. Too many people to count, both male and female, stop me to compliment my fantastic Red and Black Suede Crush-able. When I found American Hat Makers I was thrilled they provide crushables. However, I wanted SUEDE like mom's...so I bought the Breeze Latte to go with my earth tone clothing. It's LOVELY, just not pack-able. (I will buy the all leather Outback crushable later) I am very pleased with my new hat. It's great for the summer weather and arrived quickly, perfectly packed, with easy apply sizing option that tweaked my fit to PERFECT. I just wish I could have spoken with upper level management instead of A-I. to encourage them to make an all suede crushable like mom's. So...here is a photo of me in my new hat and also my mom in the one I bought her while she was still with me. I KNOW (hint hint) a company that made this suede hat now would sell em like hot cakes. And I'd be the first buyer.
