How to Measure Your Head
- Grab a soft measuring tape or a piece of string (like twine or a shoelace) and a ruler or measuring tool
- Wrap a soft tape or string around your head to measure about 1/4 to 1/2 inch above your ear and about 3/4 to an 1" inch above your brow line (see image)
- Mark the tape or your string, where it intersects, with your finger.
- Record your measurement in inches or centimeters (centimeters is often more accurate)
- If you're using a string, run it along side the ruler as many times as necessary to get a complete measurement
- MEASURE AGAIN!
- Always measure more than once until you get the same number twice
- Find your size in the chart for the perfect fit

My American Hat Makers story starts a couple of years ago in a small retail shop in Estes Park. Being an old rocker I'd only ever worn baseball caps, and flat caps generally. I kept trying on this leather hat unlike anything I'd ever worn. Instinctively I loved it, but it was different for me. After some convincing I left with my black leather Crusher.
This hat not only became my very favorite hat, but it changed how I look at headwear. It's the standard by which I judge any hat. Superb quality, comfort, and detail. Lots of memories, a little conditioner, and it still looks new. Being one of the originals I am sure you have heard this before, but It's a special piece of gear.
This hat made me return to the company, and the customer service has been amazing. I feel like I'm buying from my friends and family every time.

This is my first western style hat since my high school days and I’m loving every minute of wearing it. It keeps me cool on the bright sunny days and looking cool every day.
