I wanted a hat that was good for sun, light rain, and kept my head warm as we get lots of varied weather here in Northern California, as well as something I could dress up or down depending on the occasion. While I’m primary planning to wear this in the fall / winter (coming up here in 2-3 months) it’s been a pleasure to work with American Hat Makers on exchanging the size (I had to go up one from M - L) and the feel of the hat is amazing. It has an adjustment on the inside to make it snug if needed by pulling a draw cord that sits below the fabric liner on the inside. Plus, the company sent a sweatband and 1/2 size adjuster you can install to help keep the hat clean and take up any additional slack need be. The hat is good quality and I purchased the lifetime refurbishment for $10 at the time of purchase which saves you about $39 if you try to buy it later. Love the pairing with my new Cody James ankle boots as they compliment the leather and colors nicely. Highly recommend if you want an heirloom quality hat that should last for years to come!

This Moab fedora fit like a glove right out of the box. I love this hat and now I can retire my 25 year old Stetson Fedora. I viewed several fedoras before making the decision to purchase the Moab, took weeks to finally give in to the desire and now I have no regrets.
I will give 1 tip that will make this hat even better than my old fedroa which had a silk liner in it. Add a quality liner in the Fedora for the ultimate comfort.

I bought this hat for fall and winter wear. The price point was good due to a discount. I took the hat to a recent trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee and wore it everyday for over a week. Back here in Meridian, Idaho, I still wear it most days and evenings. Using the velcro tab inside the hat band, I was able to effect a perfect fit. I am totally pleased with the product and the quality and would recommend it to others looking for hearty felt hat that is warm and durable.
I continue to receive compliments on my Moab hat. My wife likes the hat as well.

The styling is impeccable, and the materials durable, but the best thing is that, despite an in-between-size head, I could order the next larger size and still get a perfect fit, due to the clever velcro adjustment strap hidden under the sweat band. I hope never to lose this hat!
