- Grab a soft measuring tape or a piece of string (like twine or a shoelace) and a ruler or measuring tool
- Wrap a soft tape or string around your head to measure about 1/4 to 1/2 inch above your ear and about 3/4 to an 1" inch above your brow line (see image)
- Mark the tape or your string, where it intersects, with your finger.
- Record your measurement in inches or centimeters (centimeters is often more accurate)
- If you're using a string, run it along side the ruler as many times as necessary to get a complete measurement
- MEASURE AGAIN!
- Always measure more than once until you get the same number twice
- Find your size in the chart for the perfect fit

I NEVER find a good fitting cowboy hat. I have a small head, so fit can be challenging! I was hesitant to order online without trying it on first. The hat fitting/style descriptions on the website were great! It fits perfect! I took this goofy pic to send to my daughter. She said, "You found one that fit!" Yup! I was impressed with just how well my had what shipped. When I opened the box I was blown away with the amazing smell of the new hat and it’s quality. I had no idea I’d also have an elastic band on the inside. While I bought this for a convention in Dallas, I’ve worn it outside to garden in. I love the color and band detail! Customer service seems great but I’ve had no issues.

I love the look of this hat overall except for the hat band looks a bit cheap and no chinstrap. Glad AHM was able to accommodate and attach with a chinstrap as the way I wanted. I’d go with a different had band as it offers but I’m still happy with it. I also love the prompt and excellent customer service that AHM provides! I’ve owned 3 hats by AHM already and looking forward to more of new looks…

The felt hat was my Mom’s that I still have the original hatbox for and realized it was your company so had to take a picture of that as well. Was bought in the early 70s I believe.
