How to Measure Your Head
- Grab a soft measuring tape or a piece of string (like twine or a shoelace) and a ruler or measuring tool
- Wrap a soft tape or string around your head to measure about 1/4 to 1/2 inch above your ear and about 3/4 to an 1" inch above your brow line (see image)
- Mark the tape or your string, where it intersects, with your finger.
- Record your measurement in inches or centimeters (centimeters is often more accurate)
- If you're using a string, run it along side the ruler as many times as necessary to get a complete measurement
- MEASURE AGAIN!
- Always measure more than once until you get the same number twice
- Find your size in the chart for the perfect fit

This is my 5th or 6th hat from American Hat Makers. The included fitting bands give you a perfect fit, keeping the wind from pulling them off. The Cabana keeps me cool, keep their shape, and give me many pleasant years of golf. I tried others, but nothing compares. Note the hat I was wearing when getting two holes in one on successive par threes.

I’ve bought and have been wearing hats most of my adult life and I think that’ this is a well made hat and I’ll probably buy more in the future. But I do know my size and the one I received is just a little small. So I’m going to send this one back and get it replaced by one the next size up. But other than that I’m happy with my purchase.

I love this hat - the Cabana. I lost my first one on a train and immediately had to order a replacement. I have several hats from other fantastic manufacturers, but the Cabana is what I wear most.

Bought myself & my hubby these hats (brown for me & grey for him) primarily for our daily walks to keep sun off the face. The hats fit according to measurements and are very cool when it’s warm out. I started bringing them on trips. We wore them to the Grand Canyon and got lots of compliments. They were easy to take on a plane. Nice quality and received them quickly.
