- Grab a soft measuring tape or a piece of string (like twine or a shoelace) and a ruler or measuring tool
- Wrap a soft tape or string around your head to measure about 1/4 to 1/2 inch above your ear and about 3/4 to an 1" inch above your brow line (see image)
- Mark the tape or your string, where it intersects, with your finger.
- Record your measurement in inches or centimeters (centimeters is often more accurate)
- If you're using a string, run it along side the ruler as many times as necessary to get a complete measurement
- MEASURE AGAIN!
- Always measure more than once until you get the same number twice
- Find your size in the chart for the perfect fit

Great Felt Fedora. I received many compliments and inquiries asking where I got the awesome hat from the people in the audience and staff at the venue I just played.
I almost always wear an AHM hat whenever I perform. People have come to expect me to don one on stage.
I made the turquoise leather custom hat band with brown whip stitching prior to purchasing this hat and it looks like it was made just for this hat!
The brim is good and wide and I may decide to shape it later with a slight dip in the front and back.
The sizable internal hat band is such a great idea, as this hat will fit almost any head shape comfortably.
I have several other felt fedoras from AHM and they all have this system.
The hat die break in after being worn a bit and I barely noticed it was on after a while.
It was also very comfortable in 90° weather.

When I first tried it on it was a bit stiff. It seemed designed for a round rather than oval head shape so I put in my hat stretcher for 24 hours , then adjusted the sizing strap. Now it fits just fine. I customized with my horse pin for playing my country music gigs.
